Total War: Warhammer is a strategy video game that was developed by Creative Assembly and published by Sega. The video game was released on 24 May 2016. In order to keep the age rating low, violence and gore were toned down. The Blood for the Blood God DLC was sold separately to ensure the base game would have a Teen rating and equivalent ratings in other countries.

Censorship[]

International censorship[]

  • Blood sprays were cut.
  • Gory spatter on unit models were cut.
  • Limb and head dismemberment (humanoids and non-legendary characters) were disabled.
    • Zombies and skeletons may continue to fight after dismemberment.
  • Explosive gibbing from deadly mid-torso strikes was cut.
  • Blood-drenched UI elements were cut.
  • Random, global campaign events that generate greater carnage in battle were cut.

Where to find it uncensored[]

The Blood for the Blood God DLC makes the game uncensored. The DLC is paid to ensure minors do not easily access it. Buying this DLC for Total War: Warhammer also unlocks the censored content for the sequel Total War: Warhammer II for free.
