The Walking Dead Season One is an action adventure game that was developed by TellTales Games and Skybound Games. It was released by TellTales Games on April 24, 2012. Violence had to be toned down in order for it to be released in Japan due to CERO's regulations on video game content.

- Any scenes that show gore were modified for the Japanese release. In the Japanese version the inside of the wounds were darkened to remove gore.
- The scene that shows Lee using a axe to crack open the zombie's skull was modified for the Japanese release. In the Japanese version the red blood was changed to black.
- The scene that shows Jolene lying in a pool of her blood was modified for the Japanese release. In the Japanese version the brain matter was removed.
- The scene that shows the back of Joloene's head with the gunshot wound was modified for the Japanese release. In the Japanese version the wound was darkened.
