Spider-Man, also known as Spider-Man: The Animated Series (Spider-Man TAS for short), is an American superhero animated television series based on the Marvel Comics superhero of the same name. The show ran on the Fox Kids Network from November 19, 1994 to January 31, 1998 and ran reruns on the Jetix block on Toon Disney and on Disney XD, with a total of five seasons and sixty-five episodes. The series was produced by Marvel Films Animation.
- The characters: War Machine and Carnage, appeared in two episodes of the cartoon. In the first one their names were translated into Portuguese, but the dubbing staff thought the names were inappropriate for the children and the dubbing of the second episode in which they appeared kept the names in English so the children could not understand them.
- In the episode "Duel of the Hunters", Kraven the Hunter tracks Man-Spider to the World Trade Center because of gunpowder residue in his webbing. He references a real-life bombing that occurred in 1993. However, after the September 11 attacks, when the WTC was destroyed, the reference was edited out of subsequent airings so that it is an anonymous parking garage.
