Reign is a historical romantic drama that was made by CW, and was released on October 17, 2013 and it ended on June 16, 2017. Due to the CW's broadcasting standards the show was censored. As a result sexuality was toned down. Netflix uses the uncensored version of episode 1 but uses the censored version of episode 13.

  1. The scene that shows Kenna, going to a secluded stairwell where she hikes up her long royal gown was cut.
  2. The scene that shows Kenna's hand moving towards her genitals was cut.
  3. The scene that shows the King of France interrupting Kenna was cut.
  4. The scene where the King of France is talking to Kenna and says "May I?" was cut.
  5. The scene that shows the King of France engaging in sexual intercourse with Kenna was cut.
  • Episode 13
  1. The scene that shows Nostradamus and the courtesan having sex was shortened.
  2. The scene that shows the camera panning out while it shows the courtesan on top of Nostradamus was modified for the CW broadcast. In the CW version it was replaced with a scene that shows Nostradamus and the courtesan under the bed's covers.
  3. The scene that shows the courtesan moving under the blanket was modified for the CW broadcast. In the CW version it was replaced with a close up on Nostradamus.
  4. The scene that shows Mary and Francis consummating the marriage was shortened.
