Rapunzel is one of the many tales that was incorporated into the A Grim Brother's tales Volume 1. Latter on the tale started to get revised to remove some of the more sexual elements due to parental backlash. And due to them wanting to appeal to the religious middle class. As a result after the second edition was released latter editions started to censor Rapunzel and other Grimm Tales.
