Ninja Gaiden is a platforming video game that was developed by Tecmo and it was published by Tecmo. The video game was released on December 9, 1988. Due to Nintendo's policies at the time the game had to be censored for the North American release.

The NES and PC versions are uncensored and every other region has the SNES release uncensored.
