Left 4 Dead 2 is a horror video game that was developed by Valve and published by Valve. The video game is a sequel to Left 4 Dead and was released on November 17, 2009. In order to be released in Australia and Germany, the game had to be censored.

Censorship[]

Australian censorship[]

  • The game was banned in Australia due to "high-impact violence".
  • A censored version would later be released in Australia that obtained the MA15+ rating.
    • Blood splatters were reduced in size.
    • Bodies disappear after they die, as a result there are no corpses on the floor after a person dies.
    • The Riot Cop zombie was removed.
    • The Bulletproof zombie was removed.
    • Enemies no longer are set on fire and instead when a fire attack is used they simply die.

German censorship[]

  • The Intro was made less violent with blood being removed, some zombies being removed, and gore being removed.
  • Dismemberment is no longer possible.
  • Blood textures on dead enemies were removed.
  • Ragdoll effects were removed.
  • Intestines can no longer fall out of zombies.
  • Enemies no longer are set on fire and instead when a fire attack is used they simply die.
  • Wounds on your character and allies were removed.
  • When you get injured the screen no longer has any blood on it.

Where to find it uncensored[]

Every other country always had the game uncensored and Germany and Australia now have uncut DLC's you can buy.
