Iron Man

Iron Man is a 2008 film distributed by Paramount Pictures and was produced by Marvel Studios. It is the first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film was released on April 14, 2008, and it was censored in Germany due to Paramount Pictures being worried about the film not being able to get a FSK 12 rating. DVD/Blu-ray releases in Germany are uncensored and did obtain the 12 rating. The Austrian broadcast station ÖRF 1 and German station RTL 2 censor the film when they air it. The Australian children's network ABC Me censored the film in order to get a PG-VA rating. (Parental guidance recommended for violence and adult themes)

When the movie premiered on ABC Me on March 13, 2010 at 5pm, some scenes and language had to be cut or toned down to get a "PG-VA" rating.

The scene where Tony and Christine are having sex is cut (although there's no nudity). However, despite this, all sexual references are still uncut.
The line "Jesus." is changed to "Jiminy."
The line "Oh, my God, you crazy son of a bitch." is changed to "Oh, my God, you crazy son of a snitch."
The line "Son of a bitch!" is changed to "Son of a gun!"
The line "Hold still, you little prick!" is changed to "Hold still, you little jerk!"
The line "Training exercise. Isn't that the usual BS?" is shortened to "Training exercise. Isn't that the usual?"
Some violence is toned down.
Inversion: The scenes where any character drinks or consumes alcohol is uncut.

The scene that shows bullets hitting the Jeep and Stark become dazed as a result was cut.
The scene that shows Stark undergoing surgery was cut.
The scene that shows Stark getting tortured by having his head forced underwater when he he won't build a bomb was cut.
The scene that shows the tunnel collapsing around Raza was cut.
The scene that shows Iron Man using his flamethrower on the terrorists was cut.
The scene that shows the terrorists rounding up civilians and shooting at civilians was cut.
The scene that shows Abu ordering a man to be executed and his family pleading for him to be spared was cut.
The scene that shows Iron Man taking out the terrorists was cut.
The scene where Stane says "Come on, then clean up here." was cut.

Where to find it uncensored[]

The DVD and Blu-ray home videos are uncensored, and every other country has always had it uncensored.
