Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, now simply known as Hearthstone, is a digital collectible card-based video game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. The video game was released on March 11, 2014 and is in active development to regularly bring new content. In 2019, Blizzard made modifications to the game artwork which it claimed were not censorship.

Censorship[]

International censorship[]

  • The bite card showing a wolf biting into a monster causing it to bleed was replaced with a close up on a wolf/tiger looking animal.
  • Deadly shot no longer shows a arrow going through a Mentor's armor, it now shows a close up on a machine firing a arrow.
  • The Eviscerate card no longer shows any blood.
  • The Headcrack card no longer shows a monster getting hit in the head from a fireball instead it now shows a cartoony looking goblin using a sling shot.
  • The Mistress of Pain Card was renamed Queen of Pain and the card was made less sexual looking.
  • The Secret Keeper card was made less sexual looking.
  • The Succubus card was completely removed and instead replaced with the new Felstalker card which shows a monster.
  • The Windfury Harpy card was made less sexual looking.

Where to find it uncensored[]

The pre-patched versions were uncensored. However, there is no real way to play the uncensored versions anymore.
