Final Fantasy II is a Japanese RPG that was developed by Square and published by Square, and it was released on December 17, 1988. Due to Nintendo's strict family friendly policies during that period of time the game was censored for the International NES release.

- The Star of David was changed to a Triangle.
- The cross that replaces a characters face on the pause screen at death was modified for the International release. In the International version it was replaced with a tombstone.

The Japanese version is completely uncensored, the game is uncensored on the PlayStation and PSP.
