  • The game was originally banned in Australia due to the drug "morphine" being referenced in the game, as the Australian government determined that the game was rewarding players who took the drug. The game was eventually released after being censored.

German censorship

  • Blood and gore were removed from the release in Germany.
  • All other international censorship applies.

Japanese censorship

  • The Mr. Burke side quest was removed from the "The Power of the Atom" side quest. As a result, it is impossible to detonate the nuclear bomb.
  • The "Fat Man" (named after the bomb dropped on Nagasaki) nuclear catapult weapon was renamed "Nuka Launcher".
  • Humans cannot be decapitated.
  • All other international censorship applies.

Where to find it uncensored

After the ban in Australia, Bethesda ensured that the censored Australian version was released everywhere else in the world. Therefore, there is no completely uncensored version available to the public. Only unofficial mods can change the name of the item back.
