Conker: Live & Reloaded is a platformer game produced by Rare and released by Microsoft for Xbox on June 21, 2005. It is a remake of Conker's Bad Fur Day for the Nintendo 64. The game was originally going to be called Conker Live and Uncut and had been intended to be completely uncensored, but Microsoft eventually got cold feet about the whole uncut angle, and had the game censored.

Censorship[]

International censorship[]

The censorship also applies to the original Nintendo 64 release. The game was originally going to be titled Conker: Live and Uncut with uncensored F-bombs in the single-player experience, but it was changed sometime during development.

  • Strong swear words like "Fuck" are censored with a bleep.
  • A Teddy Bear Hitler scene was removed from the game.
  • There was originally a scene that showed a squirrel undergoing surgery while still alive, which was changed to the two doctors just talking to each other.
  • Frankie pitchfork quote "It was like one of those lynchings you hear about." was followed by a group of characters wearing KKK outfits. This was changed to "It was like one of those executions you hear about." followed by a group of characters wearing generic executioner outfits.
  • Swear words like "asshole", "shit" and "twat" are censored in the remake but not in the original game.

Where to find it uncensored[]

The Nintendo 64 version is somewhat less censored, but there is no completely uncensored version.
