Code Geass

Code Geass is a Japanese anime made by Sunrise Studios. Code Geass ran from October 5, 2006 to September 28, 2008. The English dub toned down the language in the show. Due to the show containing nudity it was censored on Adult Swim due to its network standards.

1. The scene where Lelouch says "Shit, those guys are real terrorists!" it was changed to "Crap, these guys are real terrorists!"
2. The line "Goddamn.....Britannians." was changed to "Death to.....Britannia."

• Episode 2

1. The scene where Prince Clovis says "A faint? The monkey's play at being human..." it was changed to "A faint a? How pedestrian."
2. The scene where Prince Clovis says "Who...who in God's name am I fighting?" it was changed to "Who...who in the hell am I up against?"

• Episode 12

1. The line "And now it's bent to the Empire's will, it's continual rape a reflection on what Japan has become." was changed to "Now it's bent to the Empire's will, a place of hideous violation a reflection of what Japan has become."

• Episode 14

1. The line "A chickenshit Brit's got a lot of nerves talking to his superiors like that." was changed to "A gutless Brit got a lot cahoonas of talking to his superiors like that."

• Episode 25

1. The line "Goddamn cat! Screw this! Kill em' all!" was changed to "Stupid ass cat! Screw this! Kill all of them!"

Season Two

• Episode 1

1. The scene where Kallen says "Goddamn Britannians!" it was changed to "Filthy Britannians!"

• Episode 2

1. The scene where Lelouch says "Goddamn you..." it was changed to "How dare you..."

Season One

(Note all International censorship applies due to Adult Swim broadcasting the English Dub not the Sub.)

• Episode 3

1. The scene that shows Kallen in the shower, taking to Lelouch was modified for the Adult Swim broadcast. The Japanese version shows her breasts, the Adult Swim version her nipples were blurred.

• Episode 15

1. The scene that shows Viletta in the bed was modified for the Adult Swim broadcast. The Japanese version shows her breasts, the Adult Swim version a black bar cover ups her breasts.

• Episode 19

1. The scene that shows Kallen is bathing in a waterfall was modified for the Adult Swim broadcast. The Japanese version shows her breasts, the Adult Swim version pixelates her breasts.

UK censorship

Season Two

• One second was cut from the series due to a young girl in the background of a shot engaging in suggestive sexual activity.
