Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a first person shooting game that was developed by Infinity Ward (original)/Beenox (remastered) and published by Activision. It was released on November 10, 2009. Due to the level "No Russian" being so controversial, some countries censored it. The Remastered Edition is still censored in certain countries.
German and Japanese censorship
- The level "No Russian" was modified for the releases in Germany and Japan. In these versions, you will fail the mission if you injure any of the civilians. It has been confirmed to be censored in the remastered version in Germany.
- The fourth mission "No Russian" was removed from all versions of the game in Russia.
- The remastered edition is not being sold on the Russian PlayStation Store.
United Arab Emirates censorship
- The game is banned in the United Arab Emirates due to some content from the Qur'an being in game.
Where to find it uncensored
Every other country has the game completely uncensored. The Remastered Edition is still censored (at least in the German version).
