Call of Duty is an American first person action game that was developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. The game was released on October 29, 2003. Due to German laws regarding Nazi imagery, such symbols were removed.

German Censorship[]

  • Any scene that shows a flag and or banner was modified for the German release. In the German version the swastikas were replaced with Iron Crosses.
  • Any scene that shows the Eagle and a swastika was modified for the German release. In the German version the swastika was digitally removed.
  • The scene that shows a Nazi poster was modified for the German release. In the German version the swastika was replaced with a Iron Cross.
  • In the mission briefing for the mission "ship" the swastika was digitally removed.
  • The scene that shows a video of a swastika on a building was replaced with a video showing a civilian walking by a bombed building.

Where to find it uncensored[]

The American and non German European versions are completely uncensored.
