Brynhildr in the Darkness is a Japanese anime that was made by Arms and was released on April 6, 2014 and it ended on June 29, 2014. Due to Crunchyroll using the censored Japanese TV airing of the anime and not using the Blu-ray uncensored release.

  • Episode 2
  1. The scene that shows one of the Witches lying naked on a examination table tied down to it was modified for the censored broadcast. In the censored broadcast bright lights covers her butt.
  • Episode 4
  1. The scene that shows bits and pieces of Neko's arms and legs lying in the pool of blood was modified for the censored broadcast. In the censored broadcast the bits of arms and legs lying in the pool of blood were removed.
  2. The scene that shows Ryouta stabbing Saori through the chest was modified for the censored broadcast. In the censored version black shadows cover most of the blade and the entry wound.
  3. The scene that shows a zoomed out shot of Ryouta stabbing Saori through the chest was modified for the censored broadcast. In the censored version black shadows completely covers the blade and the entry wound.
  4. The scene that shows Ryouta's body being blown apart was modified for the censored broadcast. In the censored version black shadows cover most of his body as a result you can't see his arm getting blown off of his body along with most of the blood.
  5. The scene that shows the top half of Ryouta's body lying on the floor was modified for the censored broadcast. In the censored version black shadows cover the bottom part of it making it so you see a lot less blood.
  6. The scene that shows Saori falling to the ground was modified for the censored broadcast. In the censored version the pool of blood around her feet was covered in black shadows.
  7. The scene that shows Saori melting was modified for the censored broadcast. In the censored version there is a lot more steam and some of the close up's on Saori's face as it melts was cut. (This was most likely done to make the scene less graphic).
  8. The scene that shows Ryouta turning around due to Kazumi teasing him with her foot was modified for the censored broadcast. In the censored version bright lights cover her breasts.
  9. The scene that shows Kazumi putting her legs around Ryouta's head was modified for the censored broadcast. In the censored version bright lights cover her breasts.
  10. The scene that shows Ryouta turning around and falling onto Neko was modified for the censored broadcast. In the censored version bright lights covers Neko's entire lower half of her body.
  11. The scene that shows Neko getting out of the spring was modified for the censored broadcast. In the censored version steam covers Neko's nipples and butt.
  12. The scene that shows Neko walking onto the wooden path next to the spring was modified for the censored broadcast. In the censored version the rock in the middle of the shot is a lot larger as a result you can no see her butt in the censored version.

  1. The scene that shows Ryouta's detached top half of his body lying in a pool of blood was modified for the censored broadcast. In the censored version shadows cover up all of the blood.
  2. The scene that shows Shino getting hit by the canon attack by the enemy mage was modified for the censored broadcast. In the censored version the beam of light is made brighter to make it harder to tell how much of Shino's body was blown apart.
  3. The scene that shows Shino falling to the ground dead was modified for the censored broadcast. In the censored version there is a fence that blocks the camera making it so you don't see any gore and a lot less blood.
