Blue Dragon was a Japanese anime that was made by Studio Pierrot and was released in April 7, 2007 and it ended. March 29, 2008. When Cartoon Network started to air the anime in the USA it was censored due to them wanting to make it more family friendly. As a result violence and sexuality were toned down.

- The scene that shows a Shu being hit in the face with a club was modified for the Cartoon Network broadcast, In the Cartoon Network version it was replaced with a scene that showed a bunch of bight lights.

- The scene that shows a soldier hitting Kluke with the rifle butt. The scene was replaced blue and yellow stars.
- The scene that shows Shu getting hit by a soldier, and falling to the ground was modified for the Cartoon Network broadcast. In the Cartoon Network version Shu's cheek's are no longer red.
