Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is an American superhero movie that is part of the DC Extended Universe that was released by WB on March 25, 2016. The theatrical release of the movie was censored in order to shorten the runtime and get a PG-13 rating. When the movie was aired on ORF in Austria, additional scenes were also removed due to their violent content. (Note: the theatrical version and not the director's cut.)

Violence was toned down in order to obtain lower ratings:

  • The scene that shows KGBeast and his men shooting the General's soldiers was modified for the theatrical release. In the theatrical version the blood sprays were removed or just recolored gray, some blood sprays that are in the theatrical release are larger in the Ultimate Edition.
