Batman: The Animated Series is a American superhero cartoon that was made by FOX KIDS/ WB. The show was released on September 5, 1992 and it ended on September 15, 1995. Due to FOX KIDS's target market being mostly young kids some scenes and episodes were censored in order to ensure that the show was family friendly.

  • The episode The Gun Story was banned by FOX KIDS, as a result the episode was never released (the episode was banned due to it's focus on a deadly weapon.).
  • A episode that would have focused on Nocturna was banned by FOX KIDS, as a result the episode was never released (the episode was banned due to it's focus on vampires and blood.).

Released Episodes

Season One

  • In the episode Robin's Reckoning the scene that shows Robin's parents plummeting to their death was modified for the FOX KIDS broadcast. In the FOX KIDS version it zooms in on the wall, and shows the shadows of Robin's parents falling to their deaths.

Season Five

Season Six

  • In the episode Mad Love violence was modified for the FOX KIDS broadcast. In the FOX KIDS version white flashes replace any scene that shows a punch hitting a character. (no uncensored version exists.)
  • The scene where Alfred says "No bat poop." was cut. (it is unknown what episode had this line.)
