Basic Instinct 2 is a erotic thriller movie that was produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, C2 Pictures and Intermedia and distributed by Constantin Film (Germany and Austria), Universal Pictures (Spain; through United International Pictures), Entertainment Film Distributors (United Kingdom) and Sony Pictures Releasing (United States). The film was released on March 30, 2006. Due to the film originally getting a NC-17 from the MPAA, it had to be censored in order to obtain an R rating. HBO Max streams the censored USA version of the film.
