ActRaiser is a platformer that was developed by Quintet and published by Enix. The video game was released on November 1, 1991. Due to Nintendo's strict family friendly policies the game had to be censored for the international release.

- Satan was renamed Tanzra.
- Horns were removed from Satan and the other bosses.
- God was renamed The Master.
- The eye on the pyramid was removed.
- References to death were removed.
- At the end of the Bloodpool storyline it is revealed that Teddy set up the lottery so that he would be picked as a sacrifice for his people. In the international release it just said he was selected at random.
